I started playing club volleyball in grade eight and that’s sort of when I fell in love with it I think I made a good decision but yeah and so just playing throughout high school, I wasn’t sure if I was going to go to the States or if I was going to go to university but anywhere I went I knew I was going to choose the school I went to for the program and not for volleyball. My mom was a graphic designer so I kind of grew up with it in my life and I’ve always been into creative things and art and stuff like that.
Yeah, it’s definitely what I want to do for the rest of my life. It’s been really good so far. Our head coach is kind of like my dad and our assistant coach is kind of like my uncle. They’ve made my five years with Humber a great experience and I’ll definitely keep in touch with them when I’m done too. She’s just a special kid. She works hard, she’s close to me and my family and I’ve really enjoyed watching her grow up over the last five years and watching her turn into the player that she is. It’s been a lot of fun. I’m sad to see her go that’s for sure.
It’ll be hard, you know you can’t replace a Landis Doyle. There’s no way. She’s a special player that only comes around once in a while. I can’t even tell you how many picture albums I have of different outings with the girls and trips and provincials and nationals. It was just a great five years with friends that I’ll have for years to come..
